The poodle dog is originated from the Germany country. It is also called as pudel and in French it is called as Caniche. Poodle is a breed of French water dog. Poodle dog breeds are divided into 4 types that are based on their size, the Medium Poodle, Miniature Poodle and the Toy Poodle. The Medium Poodle is although a variety in poodle breed but it is not universally recognized.
The poodle dogs are having a distinctive thick and curly coated. It is available in many colors, but the only solid ones were recognized by the breed registries. The Poodle dog standard was originally used by the wildfowl hunters to retrieve the game from the water. The smaller varieties of this breed were bred from the France. Poodle dogs once commonly used as circus performers, but they have become very popular dogs.
The poodle dog will be active and an athletic breed. The FCI’s breed standard was states that the standard poodle dog height was between 24 cm to 28 cm (9.4 inches to 11 inches).
The Kennel Club was not recognized the Medium poodle dog.
According to Kennel club standard poodle height is between 38 cm to 60 cm (15 inches to 24 inches). The miniature poodle dog height is between 28 cm to 38 cm (11 inches to 15 inches) and the toy poodle was 24 cm to 28 cm (9.4 inches to 11 inches). Toy poodle size was remaining unchanged.
Healthy standard poodle adult was typically weighs between the 20 kg to 32 kg (44 lb to 71 lb).
The medium poodle dog breed weight was between 15 kg to 19 kg (33 lb to 42 lb). The miniature poodle dog weight was between 12 kg to 14 kg (26 lb to 31 lb). The toy poodle dog weight was between 6.5 kg to 7.5 kg (14 lb to 17 lb).
The poodle dog will have thick and curly coats with the harsh fur. The pet owner should be grooming a poodle dog on every 4 to 8 weeks. The poodle dogs were often cited as a hypoallergenic dog breed. The poodle dog has individual hair follicles that will have an active growth period that is longer than that are of many other breeds.

Poodle dogs were mostly in solid colored and in multi colored coats. Solid colored coat poodles only compete in conformation.
The poodle dog breed have health registry that lists over 50 major health disorders of the standard poodles. The poodle dogs are comparatively healthy breed and there are no specific health problems. They were mostly suffering from hereditary diseases due to the inbreeding.
The standard poodle dog’s life span is 10 to 18 years. The largest dogs were shorter lived. Poodle dogs some worst common hereditary poodle diseases are skin diseases like sebaceous adenitis, Addison’s disease and an endocrine system disorder.
