Famous Island Bali was a province of the Indonesia country. It was the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. Bali province consists of Java to the east, Lombok to the west and some small neighboring islands. They are mainly Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan, Nusa Penida etc.
The bali provincial capital was Denpasar. It was the most populous city in the Lesser Sunda Islands. It was one of the 2nd largest city after the Makassar in the Eastern Indonesia.
Ubud was the upland town in the Greater Denpasar. It was considered as the Bali’s cultural centre. Indonesia’s province Bali was the main tourist destination with the most significant rise in tourism from 1980’s. The tourism relates business will makes up-to 80% of their economy.
In Indonesia Bali was the only Hindu majority province. The population of Bali was 86.9% of the population clings to the Balinese Hinduism. In Bali has the most developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, painting, sculpture, leather, metal work, all kinds of arts and crafts.
Famous island Bali every year held the Indonesian Film Festival.
Some other International events were also held in Bali which includes the Miss World in the year 2013 and Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund in 2018.
In bali the World Bank Group meeting in the year 2018 and G20 summit was in the year 2022. In the year 2017 March the TripAdvisor Company named the Bali as the world’s top destination in the traveler’s choice.
Bali Island looks like the Coral triangle.
It was the area with highest biodiversity for the marine species especially turtles and the fishes. Over 500 reef building coral species were found in this area alone.
Bali Island was the home for the Subak irrigation system and the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Bali was also home for the unified confederation of the kingdoms that were composed of minimum 10 traditional royal Balinese houses. Each house was ruling a specific geographic area.
The royal houses were not recognized by the government of Indonesia they were originated before the Dutch colonization. The confederation was the successor of the Bali kingdom.
The Ngurah Rai International Airport was located near the Jimbaran at the southernmost part of the island on the isthmus. Lt. Col. Wisnu Airfield was in the northwest of the Bali.
The coastal road will circle the Bali Island. In bali there are 3 major 2-lane arteries that will cross the central mountains at the passes reaching the 1,750 m in height at Penelokan.
The Ngurah Rai Bypass was a four-lane expressway that will partly encircle the Denpasar. There are no railway lines for Bali Island. There was a ferry car between the Gilimanuk on the west coast of the Bali Island to the ketapang on the Java.
The Government of Indonesia had invited the investors to build the new Tanah Ampo Cruise Terminal at the Karangasem the Bali with the projected worth of the $30 million.
The first cruise ship name Sun Princess was on 17th July 2011 was anchored about 400 meters (1,300 ft) away from the wharf of the Tanah Ampo harbour. The current wharf was only 154 meters (505 feet). It was eventually extended up-to 300 meters to 350 meters. It has accommodation available in the International cruise ships. The harbor was safer than the existing facility at the Benoa.
The Bali Island Mandara Toll Road was opened with the Junction Dewa Ruci that was underpass being opened previously. The bali province also built a toll road that was connecting to the Kuta, Tohpati, Denpasar, flyover to Kuta and Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Bali Island was famous for its diverse and the sophisticated art forms like painting, woodcarving, sculpture, handcrafts etc. Balinese cuisine was also very particular. Balinese percussion orchestra music was also known as gamelan.
Balinese percussion orchestra was high developed and was very varied.
Balinese were used this orchestra to perform different types of arts. This music was used to explain depicts stories from Hindu epics such as the Ramayana with heavy Balinese influence. Balinese dances were very famous. It includes pendet, baris, legong, barong, topeng, gong keybar and the kecak means monkey dance etc.
In Bali Island Bali Boasts was one of the most diverse and the innovative art performing cultures in the world. These performances are done at thousand of temples in festivals, private ceremonies and in the public shows.
