Germany is a 2nd populous country in Europe after Russia. It is also known as Western Europe which is full of diversity. It is the most populous member state of the European Union. Germany is located between the Baltic and North Sea’s to the north and the Alps to the south. It covers an area up-to 357,022 square kilometers with the population of 84 million. There are 16 Germany states and capitals are there.

The borders of Germany are Denmark to north, Poland and the Czech Republic to east, Austria and Switzerland to the south and France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Netherlands to the west. Berlin is the national Capital and the largest city by population. Germany financial center is located at Frankfurt.

The largest urban area is Ruhr. The various Germanic tribes have been inhabited in the northern parts of the modern Germany from classical antiquity. Germania is a region that was documented before AD 100. German territories have formed a central part of the Holy Roman Empire in 10th century.

In Germany Ancient humans were present at least from 40,000 years ago. In Neander Valley the first non modern human fossil was discovered. Modern human’s data evidence was found in the Swabian Jura. Germany is well known for folk festival traditions like Christmas customs which includes Advent wreaths, Christmas trees, stolen cakes and other practices.

Northern German regions became the center of the protestant reformation in 16th century. In the year 1806 the Napoleonic wars and the dissolution of Holy Roman Empire were formed. The confederation of German was formed in the year of 1815. Germany has become a nation state when most of the German states are unified into Prussian dominated German empire.

After German Revolution and World War from the year 1918 to 1919 the semi presidential Weimar republic replaced the Empire.

In the year 1933 the Nazi seizure of power led to the establishment of a totalitarian dictatorship, Holocaust and World War II. Germany was divided into the federal republic of Germany after the Allied occupation in the end of the World War II in Europe. It is generally called as West Germany. European Economic Community and the European Union were formed by the Federal Republic of Germany.

Germany has a strong economy with great power. It has 4th largest economy in the Europe by nominal GDP and the 5th largest by PPP. Germany is the global leader in several scientific, technological and sectors. It is the world’s 3rd largest importer & exporter of goods.

Germany is a member of United Nations the Council of Europe, The European Nation, the G7, G20 and the OECD. It has 3rd greatest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is ranked as the 16th most peaceful country in the world.
